Criminal Investigations Division

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is made up of highly trained investigators committed to providing the highest level of investigative excellence to protect and serve our community. CID is comprised of specialized squads that address a wide range of complex and serious offenses, including but not limited to:

  • Persons Crimes – Homicide, Missing Persons, Cold Case Investigations
  • Property Crimes – Burglary, Stolen Vehicles, Major Theft
  • Economic Crimes – Fraud, Identity Theft, and Financial Offenses
  • Warrants Unit – Locating and apprehending wanted individuals
  • Special Victims Unit – Sexual Battery, Child Abuse, and Sex Offender Investigations
  • Digital Forensics – Advanced analysis of electronic and digital evidence
  • Crime Scene & Forensic Science – Collection, preservation, and examination of physical evidence
  • Evidence Unit – Secure management of property and evidentiary items

CID investigators are partnered with multiple federal agencies and state task forces, which extends their reach beyond local jurisdiction and provides the ability to pursue and prosecute cases nationwide. Through these partnerships, CID ensures that offenders face justice wherever they are found and that victims receive the strongest possible support throughout the investigative process.
